At Aevora Labs, privacy is a fundamental human right. Our flagship product, Vitalia, is designed to process as much data as possible on your device without ever sending it to our servers.

1. Information We Collect

Vitalia primarily uses on-device processing. We collect the following types of information when you use our services:

• On-Device Vision Data: Images of nutrition labels are processed locally on your iPhone's Neural Engine. We do not upload these images to our servers.
• Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous crash reports and basic engagement metrics to improve the app.

2. How We Use Information

We use the data collected to:

• Provide nutritional insights and tracking.
• Sync your data across your personal devices via iCloud.
• Improve the accuracy of our ingredient classification models.

3. Third-Party Services

Vitalia integrates with the USDA FoodData Central API and Google Gemini API for advanced insights. These services receive text-based queries (e.g., "Apple, raw") but do not receive any of your personal identifiable information or HealthKit data.

4. Data Retention

Data stored in SwiftData/iCloud is retained as long as you maintain your account. You can delete your data at any time directly through the application settings.
